I am sorry you are in so much pain. Can you have midol (not sure if it is available where you are but you can probably get a generic brand)? I have never tried it myself but it was recommended to me by several people. Also, I have heard that paracetamol builds up in the system so the more you take, the more effective it is so don't miss a dosage and hang in there.

For me, things that help to some extent include: hot water bottles, alternating with hot and cold packs, endo diet, tens machine, yoga, gentle stretching, meditation and some ayurvedic supplements. None of them help a lot individually, and occasionally nothing helps at all. But in general when I do all of these, collectively they at least help me cope most days. I would say the diet, hot water bottle and ayurvedic supplements are the ones that help the most.

It may also be worth visiting a pain clinic if you have access to it. Take care and I hope you feel better soon.

I work in drug and alcohol recovery and wouldn't recommend medical marijuana. Why don't you investigate amitriptilline with your GP. It's a useful drug that is a pain blocker and taken at night it can help with sleep as well

I'd second this. I've been on Gabapentin for most of this year and it really helps. It made me feel drunk for a couple of days, but even then although it didn't really decrease the pain straight away, it made me not care about it. I was worried that it would impact on my concentration etc. given reviews I'd read about it, but I've got a job where I need to be right on my game and focus and have lots of energy (difficult when you're in pain and feel like poop) but the Gabapentin didn't impact on that negatively at all. xx

heat pads are good to I used them at work as I was the same could only take paracetamol and ibuprofen at work but only took the edge off the pain that's why I had to end up using heat pads x

I use kinesiology tape and find it helps

I use buscopan. It helps with cramping / spasm feeling and if the reasons you can't use the other medications are bowel related it helps bowel pains. Electric heat pad and tens are good for at home / night.

I'm the same, can only take paracetamol and they don't do much if anything at all..I find heat helps a lot, heat pads from the pound work a lot better then brand ones...they actually last 8hours and very warm...unlike the branded ones that last about 2hours and barely heat up. But you can use the in bed so I use a hot water bottle or a beanie that you put in the microwave for when I'm in bed. Hope this helps abit. X
