Natural Pain Relief?

Does anybody know of any natural, effective ways of dealing with pain relief?

I am fed up of being drugged up with painkillers which make me feel very unwell.

What are your experiences of natural methods?

Have you tried acupuncture? It's good for pain relief and endo treatment generally. I've had a positive experience with it. The main problem I have is stress and inability to relax! So acupuncture treatments give me some time out, and the bonus of pain relief.

I've also seen an improvement in my period pain through acupuncture. It can be expensive, but I use a multibed clinic which keeps the costs down and means you can go more regularly. Have a look at acmac.net to see if there is one near you.

My symptoms have massively improved by changing my diet and regular exercise endo-resolved.com/diet.html is a good website for nutritional advice. I do still get some pain when my period arrives but it's not as debilitating as it used to be. Also helps with the fatigue & mood swings! Hope this helps you as I got to a similar point of wanting no more medical interventions too! Xx

Thanks very much for your comments. I have never tried acupuncture, and don't think I can afford it, but will certainly look into it, perhaps it's something I can do in the future, & thanks for the info on diet. xx

There is a herbal remedy called Menastil which comes in a roll on( like a deoderent) which I have seen used successfully. The way it works is by separating the nerve endings so the pain messages cannot jump from one nerve to another. There used to be a UK supplier but I think you have to get it directly from USA now which is a bit of a pain. We were sceptical at first but really found it helpful. Google it and check it out. Hope this helps.xx

Thanks I will have a look :) xx
