the big day is upon us.

tomorrow i am going in for my lap. to diagnose what is actually wrong with me. i am in the uk and i have had to go private and pay. previously i have been told by doctors that it is not gynaecological and that i am enjoying the pain and also that it is just in my head. I discovered this forum, discovered that my symptoms are very endo related. found a doctor that specialises in the illness in cardiff, he suggested a lap to treat what he feels is endo.

So here i am tomorrow is the big day, i am terrified. of so much. what will they find, can they treat it, will it ease the pain, am i going to die, what if they find nothing!

While i am packing my case!!

Either way tomorrow i hope i have an answer to this awful pain that has haunted me all my life.

My story is very similar to yours. My first lap is at the end of the month and i have also had to go private as my gp became obsessed with gastrointestinal issues and i knew that wasn't the case!

First I would love to tell you that you know your body. I'm two days post op and found out I am a endometriosis warrior.. It was the best news I could have heard... While it is scary to know the journey ahead. It helps knowing that people believe that I am indeed a survivor. This is the first step to treatment. Knowing. Knowledge is power. Best of luck!

Just want to say good luck. I had one 2 days ago and got the diagnosis. I'm glad I have answers but anxious at the same time. I go back in 2 weeks to discuss treatment plan. It's a shame you've had to go private when your gp should have referred you. Good luck again x

Good luck with your lap. Im 8/52 post op and definitely better since.
