Can any one help me with my symptoms ?? Pain, night sweats, leg pins & needles, ...2.5yrs suffering .. Endo in appendix now removed ...

Hi wonder if any one can shed any light on my conditions .. I have a dull ache pain and sharp stabbing on my right lower abdo from my bikini like up to my lower rib .. I have had my appendix out aug 2012 found endo inside it .. Pain carried on .. Lapro in aug 2013 clear pelvic area .. I'm also getting pins & needles in my right leg wen the pain is strong .. I'm one suffering with night sweats and very emotional .. I'm currently waiting a brain scan next week & more blood tests .. They are lookin into nerves now .. I'm puzzled and so are the doctors .. But really getting me down after 2.5 years of it all .. Any ideas welcome thanks xxx

Hi how old are you firstly? Presuming not menopausal age so night sweats can be down to hormone treatments ( doesn't sound like you are on any) or pain. The tingling is indeed nerve related. I suspect you des are just ruling anything neurological out with an MRI and trying to eliminate causes. The pain and tingling in leg can definitely be referred pain from you abdominal area. I get this! I think it is worth asking an experienced endo specialist for a diagnostic laparoscopy because when you had your appendix out, this wouldn't have been a specialist surgeon. It is also possible that you have scar tissue from the appendectomy and new lesions of endometriosis there so you need investigating. You don't say in your post whether you have only seen a general gynae or a specialist centre and you may need to be referred to a specialist colorectal surgeon too. The emotions are hand in hand with pain. Pain killers can alter your moods if opiate based and if not on pain relief you can get depressed with chronic pain and exhaust yourself, especially after 2 years. You need to form a good relationship with an understanding GP and seek second opinions, be proactive and be clear. Specialist centres have pain clinics in too which sounds of benefit to you. Ps it is important to get on top of scar tissue, experienced colorectal surgeons can remove it if it is causing pain. If it is getting worse as time goes by then in worse cases it can cause a bowel obstruction which can be life threatening although this is rare, as I understand it. But you need a new investigation by laparoscopy if you haven't had one by the right dr or at least x ray and abdo and pelvic scan. Good luck x

Have read back a bit on your profile and i think you don't have endo on your uterus. Even without endo on your uterus you can develop it on bowels and other areas from retrograde bleeding. If you have severe pelvic pain it can be from a pelvic congestion as well. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pelvi...

Thanks for the advise I'm 25 .. I've had a diagnostic lapro aug this year but they confirmed a clear pelvis .. This was. Gyne surgeon too .. I'm getting swollen neck glands too now as well as the night sweats So back to the docs on wed for appointment , a blood test and the MRI brain scan .

So I just found this site. And your post jumped out at me immediately. I had my gallbladder taken several years back. And about a year later was in severe stomach pains. Dr's were puzzled making me feel like I was crazy. Eventually I went to a gynecologist and he decided it was my left tube and ovary that was causing me this excruciating pain. As soon as I came out of surgery I was still in same oain as when I went in. The dr was puzzled. Which meant my left tube and ovary was removed for no reason really. It's now been bout 3 years. And I think each week the pain just gets worse. It feels like I'm being stabbed in pelvic area and throughout my side and rib area. My dr sent me to pain dr. And I started injections for nerve damage. I was ok for 2 days. But been in the worse pain I've ever been in since the injections. I'm a strong woman who is being broken down by the chronic pain. I don't like pain medicine. But there are just some days I have no choice. Most days I'm in so much pain I can barely move without tears rolling out. I am very emotional, moody and exhausted. I have an appt set up with a neurologist for another opinion. I NEED ANY HELP I CAN GET AT THIS POINT!
