Awaiting diagnostic lap

Hi does anyone get bad lower right abdomen pain during period and randomly in the month? I'm awaiting a diagnostic lap but was wondering if this is one of the symptoms

Yes, bad 😣 My right sided pain used to be when i was ovulating & due on my period but now it's all the time & gets worse by any physical activity, even a simple walk will flare it.

My Gynea said this is a symptom.

I am also on the waiting list for a lap.

It's crap isn't it 😞💕

Hi thank you so much for replying. I also get right sided back ache also but the pain in my lower stomach is only ever on the right side. Is yours only right sided also? Nice to know that I am not the only one experiencing this. Yes it is horrid 💕

Yep mines right sided too! Mines a constant period achey pressure & sharp stabbings that gets worse as the days goes on. Does yours feel the same? My back also aches & i get shooting pains down my leg.

Yeah I get exactly the same. I do get a few pain free days in the month but most of time it's there. I don't get leg pain with it. Hopefully we both get a diagnosis after the x

It's like it lays dormant, waiting to rear it's ugly head 🙈I rang my consultants secretary & she said my surgeon is currently off with covid but I'm 3rd in the list, so not long!

Do u an estimate of your waiting time? X

OMG you two have described my exact experiences at present, I have found things have gotten worse the past 6mths and more so in the last 6-8weeks. I have an urgent appointment to see Gynae Consultant tomorrow i am so depressed with it all as normally so active with my 6yr old

Aww i feel your pain. My little one is 4, it's not easy being in this pain with it. Feel useless don't u 😒 Aww that's good you're getting seen tomorrow! Let us no what they say 🤞💕

I feel like all I do is drag myself through the day at work come home and collapse try to get enough rest inbetween to spend quality time with her at the weekend when I am not working, I will let you know how I get on, today is a bad day

Bless u 😢 it's so crap isn't it.I'm feeling it today. No-one u understands what we're going through, I've lost many friends because i can't go to the gym or on a night out anymore.. i truely understand how older people get so lonely now. It's so isolating.

Aww sorry to hear youre going through same thing. Is your phone only right sided on lower abdomen also? Yes I do the exact same. Good luck at appointment

yes sometime I have radiated left sided pain but mainly right sided. pain graudally has gotten worse over the last six months and more so in the last 6-8 weeks, heavy bleeding, clots and dizzy spells with lower back pain x

Yes exactly. Aww that's good you're 3rd on the list so not too long for you. I had my gynae consultant appointment last week and she said it can take a year for the surgery so I have a long wait. If you don't mind could you tell me your outcome/ diagnosis once you've had the surgery but only if you don't mind? X

Hi new here I get pain on both back right and left side bad. This is my story I've been suffering with pains for many years this was going on when I was around 18/19 years old. I kept going to gp because I was in so much pain and bleeding and massive clots it took so long for them to diagnose me, back in 2018 I was told I had cancer at time before I had my partner and friend and adoptive nana I shut of and thought this cluldnt be real then I finally went back and then I was told and diagnosed with 6 massive polyps size as golf balls if it was back in 2019 with my partner saving my life I would been dead and had cancer spread through my body and that was what a gp told me and my partner anyway had operation to have them removed when I was discharged from hospital they said I was ment to have a check up after 2 weeks they never even done that. Anyway I was ok for a while then I had pains again and this time stronger went for more scans was told I had polyps again. Then went for more scans was told all of sudden they came out. At these times I was still suffering server pains and bleeding, had more scans again they said I had polyps back nothing was done I was left and just constantly giving tablets. And so goes on with scans after scans. Then all of a sudden I was having more stronger pains I didnt know what the hell was going on so they reffered me to mri scan 2022 was told I have 2 double thick lining of endometriosis and was ment to go for next stage including an operation and nothing has been done I've been chasing up and nothing no response. So today I've rang gp chasing up now I have to ring doctors tomarrow to book telephone call for thos to be chased up for my next stage. I've looked up on nhs sights and it's a possibility if it dosent get treated theres possibility I could end up with cancer also as it's a high risk I have. No body has heard of this my polish friend she had endometriosis but wasnt the one I have we are all scared and confused. My moods are sky high it makes you feel like crap specially with the bleeding and suffering with the pain constantly I think personally they should do more research and make this more awareness of this as alot of us is suffering and alot of us is ending up with more damage while we are left till it's to late. I'm sorry but if alot of us women has this taken serious and hospitals done there job properly and gave us the treatment this could of avoided alot of damage and stopped this going further.

It's good to hear you're awaiting a laparoscopy - it really is the best way to diagnose endometriosis and can be used to treat endometriosis.

We have a great information sheet on our website, which can be downloaded at endometriosis-uk.org/your-l.... This highlights to you what happens during a laparoscopy and some of the things you may experience after surgery.

The main thing to remember is that you are entitled to ask questions of the doctors who will be performing the surgery to ensure you are comfortable and try to remember that everyone's experience and recovery times are different. You should take it easy when recovering.
