Good luck for tomorrow! I can totally sympathise with your nervousness! I am due to go in for my hysterectomy and laparoscopy at the end of the month. I have had 8 laparoscopies in total and am petrified of what impact a hysterectomy will have on me having read too many blog sites. Although Im very much looking forward to being pain free. Are you having a full or partial hysterectomy?

Hi Maniks, I am having a Hysteroscopy to remove polyps plus the Laparoscopy for endo. I feel for you more having to go through a Hysterectomy and Lap and wish you the best of luck. Will keep a look out

for any posts you tag to see how you got on. Take care xxxx

Hi Woodsmith, thank you so much. Is there a reason they are removing your polyps? Ive had 21 across both ovaries for the past 10 years and have never been told they need to be removed. This time all my organs are stuck together and my womb is twisted. I really dont want to have a hysterectomy, I feel Im too young at 35 but being told its the best option for me :( Im seeing my GP on Friday in hope of getting some answers and some reassurance so I'll let you know how I get on. All the best for tomorrow, I'll be thing of you xxx

I think her polyps are on the cervix or uterus with her needing a hysteroscopy to get at them...in which case they are normally removed to check for cancer or pre-cancer cells. Extremely rare to be malignant but not unheard of, which is why they do like to remove them to check what they are made of. My sonographer found a decent sized one and said i would be recalled to get it taken out, but i never heard back from them, so i added it to my list of things to be seen to at my next op. I didn't know it was there, cannot feel it and don't expect it to be anything other than a bog standard polyp, hence it can wait.

Thank you so much bonygirl1xx

Yes you are correct impatient, apparently I have a fairly large polyp which needs to be removed and tested and I agree it is rare that they are malignant. Just another thing for us girls to go through eh !!!x

Good luck for tomorrow. I had a lap on Monday to unstick everything and remove as much endo as possible, I did have a minor panic as I went down to theatre as was nervous but deep breaths and before you know it you're be knocked out and next thing you'll know it will all be over with!. So far so good and my recovery has been pretty good so far, even though its only been 2 days! My biggest tip is to try to get up and about, nothing strenuous at all, but just little steps to the bathroom etc as often as you can manage, it really does make a huge difference and helps with the gas pain!! The nurses had to help me Monday and yesterday but have been able to get up on my own today and each time it's a bit easier x

Hi Hayls, thanks for your advice I will make sure I get up and about often as I can, no doubt I will be posting my progress in the next couple of days. Glad your recovery has been good, lets hope you will be back to normal very soon.

Take care xx
