hi there
I have read a few blogs about a diet to help endo, I have had diathermy and cystectomy last week and fingers crossed most of it has been got, but have read about a gluten free diet? or what is it??
Have a look at the Endo Resolved website and forum - there is loads on there about the endo diet.
Personally, I only do it when I'm on a period because I would starve otherwise, but I do some of the easier things most of the time and do see a difference (mainly reduced bowel problems and reduction in those horrible leg feelings).
Loads of people report it's the only thing that's helped them and they think it's brilliant.
Good luck!x
I have to say I've found the diet absolutely fantastic! Really reduces my daily pain and although difficult at first you soon get used to what you can eat. I even eat out a lot and have found it fairly easy! In a nutshell you remove gluten, eggs, soy, sugar, alcohol, caffeine, red meat and dairy from your diet- sounds like a lot but there are so many alternatives out there. Its also easier once you notice how much better you feel! If you fancy it join the endometriosis diet and nutrition group on fb- lots of lovely supportive ladies and so many recipes to try! Good luck if you go for it! X
Ah thank you
I don't eat red meat or dairy currently. I didn't suffer too badly before but have just had diathermy for severe endo & a cyst removed. I will look at the group on facey x
I've never heard of this and think it would be difficult to do but my pain is becoming quite unbareable I think I may have to. X
