Bladder cancer

Hi, folks - I frequented this great forum several years ago during my father's treatment for metastasized prostate cancer. Now my husband has been diagnosed with Stage 2 bladder cancer which originated in the bladder, and I can't find a forum for that. I do see mentions of bladder cancer here.

I also am on BCG treatment for bladder cancer. Have an appointment with urologist oncologist this week but not until December with Medical Oncologist. Just wanted to throw it out there for any opinions.

On Friday last week I got a telephone call from Urology - They wanted me to go to hospital to see consultant. no explanation. Well I was ill after a bug and a COPD Flare. I told him I could not so. he said I would get a telephone call Monday at 11 am.. Well I did wonder what he/they wanted out of

Hello Fellas, I've had five cancers: Breast (mastectomy), Thyroid (thyroidectomy).Bladder Cancer removed (Low Grade), Nueroendrocrine cancer removes (stomach, stage 2) and Prostate cancer (prostatectomy, stage 4). Currenty PSA undetectable... extreme fatigue, brain fog. m

In July 2023 I was diagnosed with low grade, non-muscle invasive (PTa) bladder cancer and had a 12-month treatment with Epirubicin per respective protocol.

I was taking Opdivo immunotherapy from 2/2023 to 2/2024 for bladder cancer. so far my bladder cancer is in check so now I can focus on my PCA. Should I get a PSMA pet? is it time to start ADT + Abi and prednisone?

I am not sure how I can post this on the bladder cancer forum as it seems more appropriate ?

As I stand now I have my LAST BCG treatment this Thursday, that will be followed in six to eight weeks with a flexy cystoscopy. I am at moment Low Grade - If my cystoscopy shows a tumour, then I will have to go in overnight to have it removed, That would not mean back to High Grade necessarily .

Saw my friend yesterday whose 79 year old mother has been diagnosed with bladder cancer. Come operation day, mum got fully made up ("I've been doing this all my life!") and had her nails done. Anaesthetist asked - "Is that shellac or gel?" "No," she said, "It's Chanel!".

I told him i was currently being treated for bladder cancer and he said I needed to go back to GP . GP has now done more bloods and i suspect she is testing for liver cancer. Initially I had an ALT of 37 and it increased to 52. All other liver tests were ok.

My husband has struggled with recurrent UTIs since 2020 when he was diagnosed with bladder cancer , had several bladder surgeries, many cystoscopies, and yearly prostate biopsies….so a lot of poking around ..

But how could it with all the background uptake in the bladder. Could I have prostate cancer in my bladder but no one notices because it is masked in the scans that I have had.

Hi All, I was diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer in 2017. It has spread to my bladder. About 1cm in June 2023, it has grown to about an inch last January, so I was advised then to start chemotherapy which I’m still on and which seems to be holding it in check.

To go back to the letter it said please come for BCG Treament on 29th May and in the spot reserved for conditions, it simple said No Cancer was found in my bladder after the flexy cystoscopy. So nothing had grown from original cells in December. 2023.

I have read articles where Ivermectin has been researched for use in bladder cancer and prostate cancer with positive results. Has anyone been given that in this group?

Bladder cancer tumours have a habit of returning, this was not unexpected. The plan is to remove the small tumour and do a biopsy of the site and I will then start a new course of BCG. Options are GA/ Spinal and a small possiblility of a local. depending on what the MDT think.

When I was eventually diagnosed, the cancer had already spread, and I had to have nephrostomy tubes due to cancer invading my bladder and blocking my ureters. PSMA also showed spread to abdominal and chest lymph nodes, as well as two spots on my spine.

A cystectomy in 01/2023 due to bladder cancer, one year of immunotherapy with Opdivo, and back surgery for sciatica in June 2024 in addition, I now a hernia under the stoma. Am I making the right decision? your help is appreciated.

At first he was misdiagnosed by our community urologist as a bladder cancer and after going with the TURBT procedure the biopsy showed us prostate metastatic cancer that managed to get up to the bladder wall and lymph nodes.
