My pain goes like this:

Period pain (actually not too bad, paracetamol or naproxen will work)

Ovulation pain last for a few days to a week. Stabbing pain on left side or right side depending on which month. none on the painkiller works. The pain goes from tummy where ovary is to bottom. Feels like something big is poking from my bottom:( very painful

About 10 days before my period starts, usually my right side tummy gets severe pain. Recently left side gets pain too. Some bad days I feel I nearly faint (but thank god, not yet fainted). Wake up during the night because of the pain. I have dense adhesion on my right side ovary and womb and bowel.

Few days before my period, I gets breathlessness and sharp chest pain. A few month ago the chest pain was really bad but it went away in a few minutes so I didn't go to the GP.

I didn't think chest pain could be related gyno problem so I had cardio department to checked my heart 2 years ago but they said my heart is healthy and they said the chest pain must come from other source. GP was informed but they did nothing. Since the beginning of this year my chest pain was more like really painfull than just discomfort. Unfortunately I realised this chest pain was coincided my cycle after the hospital appointment and learned that endo could be in the diaphragm and it could cause chest pain. GP said it is likely as endo could go anywhere.

Since April appointment, my consultant decided to take off my hormone treatments which any of them were really succeeding and he told me to get pain killers from GP.

In May I got Meveberine as I had some recommendation here but it doesn't seems working very much for me. My GP changed to Diclofenac from Naproxen which is still giving me some severe pain within one hour of taking it.

I started to take Co-codamol if Diclofenac didn't work. I get rapid heart beat when I take Codine (Co-codamol). I got OK to take it from GP I get rapid heart beat side effect as this is no harm, just discomfort. However I get breathlessness and chest pain towards my period and I seemed to get worse breathlessness when Co-codamol. I tried to juggle the dose and took one co-codamol (15mg codeine) and one paracetamol which I could manage etc.

I take Diclofenac straight after meal but I am getting nauseous., I take ranatidine but it doesn't go away.

Anyway these cocktail of painkillers doesn't seem to work breathlessness and chest pain (which GP suspect that I may have endo on my diaphragm - which I haven't told my consultant yet). What can I take for the chest pain?

I am waiting for my next (3rd-which they are trying to confirm I am having endo) laparoscopy in August after my holiday so I need to hold on to some painkiller until then.

I tried Antidepressen(amitriptiryn) but I was too drowsy to stay awake with my daily life and my heart beat had gone too rapid so stopped by doctor. Tramadol spaced me out so no chance to go to work. Voltarol gave me rash...but is this same as Diclofenac? - Diclofenac doesn't give me rash or take away pain! Buscopan was very good to me for a while but I got used to it and it is not effective anymore. I miss it though...

What kind of painkiller are you taking, please?

Sounds like your having a nightmare, firstly id go back to your gp for a review of your meds, my gp actually stopped prescribing me diclofenac due to new advice from medication advisory and put me on naproxen along with omeprazole to protect stomach lining, it really should be taken alongside the diclofenac too.

i also have a mirena and take, tramadol. Oxycodone and naproxen,

good luck with your quest for answers, its trial and error with the meds but don't give up, big hugs to you. X x

Thanks for both of you. I got a GP appointment next week so I will research further on painkiller until then.

I was really nauseous today but I had to work 10.5 hours today. By evening I was bit better. I think I've taken too many tablets and my tummy couldn't cope with them...

My period started today so the hell is nearly over! (for this month)

Take care
