I just got my fourth hba1c test report so I thought that I should share it with u all.
In last one year my hba1c reports were as follows
May 2018 it was 5.9
August 2018 it was 5.7
November 2018 it was 5.1
March 2019 it was 5.2
I wanted to do a check on myself so in last 3 months from November 2018 to march 2019, I consumed 1 quarter rum almost everyday just because I wanted to check how much alcohol can effect to my blood sugar level & I have also consumed sugary times so many times in last 3 months !
I go for a brisk walk about 3 km per day .
I do weight training in gym 5 days in a week.
I don't eat rice, potato, fried foods, or any type of packaged food item, no tea no coffee no sugar in my daily food .
In may 2018 my body weight was around 89 kg, now my weight is 69 kg .
I would request you all to please go through with my post and do share your feedback on same on the basis of my above mentioned details .
Thanks & Regards,
Surendra Shukla

Everything is in normal range, I go for my hba1c test because in month of may 2018 my hba1c count was 5.9%, what sugary items I ate in last 3 months, well I ate almost everything and I am not proving anything to anyone, HU is like family to me so I just thought that I should share my experience with you !
I think you are doing extremely well.I attribute your success to your reduction in weight.Keep it up but be wary of the rum part because it does no good to a diabetic.
Thank you so much for your reply sir, I did that intensionally because I wanted to see the effect of alcohol on my blood sugar level, now as my report has come so will go back to my previous routine.
At your age health may not be a problem, 40,50,60,70, as you age different problems come along. One evening many years ago two of us went through malt Whisky 2l, during a BBQ. Now at the age of 72 not possible!!!
That is a 20kg weight loss within a year. That is brilliant and well done. So what do you eat for carbs.? What is your typical meal? Please share with us. Thanks. Mxx
