Hba1c
Hidden Only person in same situation understands the other. Though diebetes is a metabolic disease, after visiting this group one comes to know that he can control it easily.
Truely!
1. I consciously tried to keep active throughout the day, mainly doing things that I enjoyed. I walked for 10 odd minutes after every major meal till 1month back. Last month I travelled a lot so it made up for no-walks post meal. I walked half an hour in morning and evening. I meditated, read books like"Many Lives Many Masters".. decided to believe in power of positive thinking etc...
2. I stopped all grains and started having only chana atta chapattis for lunch/dinner. For breakfast it would always be sprouts. I relied on having only low carb veggies(cauliflower, cabbage, capsicum, cucumbers, green leafy veg, garlic chutney for all meals,, zucchini, mushrooms, occasional paneer dishes and high fats nuts like pecan, hazel, macadamia, almonds, walnuts).. a few makhanas roasted in desi ghee in the morning or for anytime hunger.. no soups and no unsweetened juices either, only raw veggies. No fruit except a few pcs of apple or occasional grapefruit.. that too twice or thrice in last 6months...occasional binging on paneer pakodas or veg pakodas. Had idlis quite a few times with sambhar n coconut chutney. Since its fermented it doesn't spike your sugar if eaten in moderation ie 2idlis once in 7-10days... avoided daals, if at all took it was never even 1/2small bowl. Never took more than one chapatti in a meal. π
3. No prescription medicine. But I took costus igneus leaf whenever ate erratic. Also I took mother tincture of Gymnema Sylvestre 10drops, 10minutes before a major meal. Also ACV a few min prior to lunch/dinner. On most days I took these two but skipped sometimes.
I regularly monitored my blood glucose. Whenever I ate outside for a continental meal I had pasta, baked vegetables with mayo, russian salad, small helping of baked beans etc n skipped cutlets, bread and dessert. For Indian meal I preferred paneer dishes, pindi chana, mushrooms, veg stirfry, NO curd preparation, and missi Roti...
Phew! That's quite long for a message... sorry but got totally carried away....π
Thanks again, to you and Mr Anup. π
Congrats
Yes. I gen avoided but when one is stuck with no more choices then I thought it was a better alternative to breads, cutlets with potato base, veg sandwichesn the likesπ π now I'll try n find a better way out.
Thanks..π
I take very little curd yoghurt outside bcoz here they add sugar/cornflour to make it thicker. I take when at home but never more than half small bowl... it raises my sugar nevertheless..
U can have home made dahi
Thanks, will keep that in mindπ
Good work
1st step in winning
Improve further to get it to reach 5.5 or less
Sure! I'll try for that. I'm thinking about setting small achievable targets for me... so next will be to bring it to 6 in 3-4months... keeping my fingers crossed.. but its an amazing feeling to share my progress with you all. π
Congrats ! It is really good. I also had HBIAC at 8.5+ level then in about 2 years medication including Victoza it once came down to 5.7 but due to again change of medicine it want upto 8 . Would request if you can share your diet plan for what to eat or avoid, etc.. Thanks.
