The following content is posted as one of the replies in my earlier post. It is for your kind info.

Yes Mr.George, I understood and I am aware of the cautions you mentioned. In fact I stopped taking insulin 3 days before starting LWM diet. It is doctors' suggestion only. And I am taking Metasens500 daily three times. And today I have measured the sugar levels at 7am before break fast and at 11.30am after break fast (after having LWM + 100gm Curd). The readings are FBS-105 and PLBS-124. The readings on 06-10-2013 (before starting LWM) are FBS-105 and PLBS-125. Tomorrow again I am visiting doctor whether to introduce insulin or not. For the last three days my diet was like this.

Day One (07-10-2013):

1. One table spoon of methi (fenugreek) powder with water on empty stomuch.

3. Normal Walking for 15mins.

3. After 30mins Green Tea.

4. After 30mins LWM with 100gm Curd.

5. Lunch 3 rotis + 1 Cup Rice + 1 Cup Dal + 1 Serving of Capsicum Paneer Curry.

6. At around 5.30pm took 1 Apple ( I know you suggested to avoid fruits. But I was only having that with me).

7. For dinner took LWM with 100mg Curd.

8. Normal Walking for 10mins.

Day Two(08-10-2013):

1. One table spoon of methi powder with water on empty stomuch.

2. Four Almonds (soaked over night).

3. After 30mins Green Tea.

4. After 30mins LWM with 100gm Curd.

5. Lunch 3 rotis + 1 Cup Rice + 1 Serving of Capsicum Paneer Curry + 1/2 Cup

Tomato Rasam.

6. At around 5.30pm took 1 raw green cucumber (with skin).

7. For dinner took LWM with 100mg Curd.

8. Normal Walking for 10mins.

Day Three (09-10-2013) - Today:

1. Jogging + Slow Running for 15mins + Selected Yoga Poses for 30mins.

1. One table spoon of methi powder with water on empty stomuch.

3. After 30mins Green Tea.

4. After 30mins LWM with 100gm Curd.

5. Lunch 3 rotis + 1 Cup Rice + 1 Serving of Tindoora/Gherkins Curry (Donda Kaya in

Telugu) + 1 Cup Dal Sambar + 100gm Curd.

6. Yet to do - this evening: going to be Walking for 10mins.

7. Yet to do - this evening: For dinner LWM with 100mg Curd.

8. Yet to do - this evening: Normal Walking for 10mins.

Tomorrow onwords I will introduce a vegetable curry with LVM in dinner.

But, I am having a feverish feeling in my body since I started taking medicines (from last month). I asked doctor also. He told, it happens because the body has to adjust to changing levels of sugar. Does it happen so? And one more observation is: I sometimes find formation of lot of bubbles in toilet (fena) while I urinate. Does this has any relation with changing levels of sugar (like less or more bubbles)?

Yes Mr. George, I was not having my digital camera with me at the time of posting a photo of Long Wheat. I will post a fresh photo of the Long Wheat that I am taking. Thank you.

Regards.

swamy.

Hi koki65,

I think, Mr.George has already mentioned in his posts. And I also posted some where in my posts. It goes like this:

"Mr. George, I am using 75gram of LWM. On the first day I used around 120gram of LWM. But after your suggestion of 1 gram per 1Kg of body weight, I reduced it to 75gram. My body weight is 66Kg now. Would you suggest to use 66grams of LWM for me?"

Now my weight is 65 Kg. But I am using 70gm of Long Wheat in the morning as breakfast and 70gm of it in the night as dinner. Along with LWM, I am taking curd/ a vegetable curry as side dish

Dear Mr. George good evening to you. Your contribution is indeed very valuable. However on seeing the photographs I must say that the name given by you i.e. LONG WHEAT is in fact not wheat but BARLEY (jaun) found abundantly in north India. Barley is available in the market with husk and when the husk is removed it is exactly like what you have shown in the picture. Thanks Good luck God bless you

ShooterGeorge in reply toGillkashmirsingh

Hi Dear Mr. Gillkashmirsingh,

As far as things that have come to my notice, the THING that is shown in the picture is known as ---- WHEAT in several places, in several languages as given at appropedia.org/Diabetes_mel... Name in different languages. In the shops at my place there is another THING that is known as barley; I shall try to publish a picture of that soon for clarity.

Mr Gillkashmirsingh, my sympathies are with you but unfortunately not in a position to help you. You have to search & find out its source & availability.

In this website & even as part of responses IN THIS PAGE there are some references about source & availability; utilise those.

it is interesting to note that barley is in absolute chalk white in colour but here there is a new interesting information which says it is not wheat at all and it is grouped under barley.People like me need to be educated more about this as it removes rudimentary doubts .kindly throw more information.

God Bless you

in reply tossampath

I think it looks chalk white only after the harvested form (brown covering = husk) has been removed, revealing its white color inside the (paddy) grain!  Check both out here:

marsh9 in reply toswamyonline

TO Swamyonline, I was attempting to address "the individual who had bubbles in the toilet" The bubbles are from protines and sugars escaping in the urine. This is an extremely serious situation as this person is having potentially non -reversable damage to their kidneys, and need immediate help from their endocrinologist to get their blood sugars under control.

swamyonline profile image
swamyonline in reply tomarsh9

Hello marsh9,

Your first message says:

"You are seriously out of control diabtic. find a good endocronologist to help you.' EDUCATE SELF ABOUT DIABETES. ".

You mean that my sugar levels heavy and my diabetes is out of control? Have you gone through my test reports that I posted in this forum (on this very same post)? And here:

healthunlocked.com/diabetes...

After seeing my sugar values are you saying that my sugar levels are extremely high and out of control? I am already with a good endocrinologist. I am following his medication and guidance by Mr.George on this forum. I am a bit confused of your comments. Please go through my previous posts and comment again.

marsh9 profile image
marsh9 in reply toswamyonline

Mr Swamyonline, I was trying to be helpful.. but I seem to have offended you and that was not my intent.

I do not know all your histroy and concrning this particular issuue do not need to.

Frothy urine after eating which then resolves soon with proper diabetic control but then shows up again and again after meals and not accompanied with burning urine is indicative of sugar and plasma proteines leaking into the urine, and not UTI, with high potential for kidney and other types of damage to various parts of the body.

MY intent was not TO offend or to rouse your ire.

CERTAINLY I MAY BE WRONG IN WHICH CASE NO SERIOUS HARM DONE.

BUT Please SEEK the openion of your endocronologist/ OTHER DOCTORS and see what they advise.

A second openion for which you are paying someone.

Another simple way to resolve this issue for you to do your blood glucose levels at or around the time of having bubbles / froth in the urine. IF you then have normal blood sugars, you have nothing to worry abut, and I was wrong ,and so please accept my advance apology and GOODLUCK TO YOU SIR/BABA/BABU JI !!!!!!! .

swamyonline profile image
swamyonline in reply tomarsh9

Oh man No. NOT AT ALL OFFENDED BY YOUR COMMENTS. In fact, I wanted to clarify regarding bubbles in urine. I thought you have seen my earlier sugar level readings and commented upon that. That is why I got confused.

But you jumped to the conclusion that I am having HEAVY SUGAR LEVELS just by reading that I am getting bubbles in my urine.

And please, get and understand the complete information and comment on that, otherwise, new comers like me may get confused and horrified.

Yes, I talked to my family doctor regarding this previously but he also asked me to do a test for that. I just wanted to get the opinion (his personal experience) of Mr.George regarding this issue in case of diabetic.

Yes, I have done blood sugar test when I was getting bore bubbles in my urine and I found it was normal.

Thanks for your suggestions.

marsh9 profile image
marsh9 in reply toswamyonline

Sure. OK!

in reply tomarsh9

hi Marsh9, you mention both frothy and bubbly or bubbles. Are they the same thing? Frothy may indicate leakage but as for bubbles that's something different, no?

Dear Mr. George,

Last evening I visited a big grain market in Amritsar Punjab and asked the traders whether barley is available in grain form or not and to my surprise they said no .They said that barley comes with husk on it and can not be made into grain form. It is directly made to ATTA.ie flour.II think you are right, it is a type of wheat only I shall again go and check with traders. I want to try this and will keep you posted when I start.the gem diet.

Secondly can I have almonds, cashew, and pista while having this diet because my doctor have told me to have 7 to 8 almonds soaked in water overnight in the morning and in the evening 7 to 8 cashew nuts with tea as snacks.

I am encouraged with ur reply to my mail. You have said in your experience with LWM diet that take lunch as usual.

Could you please clarify.

Can I have milk at night before retiring to bed?

May god bless you

Dear Mr Gillkashmirsingh,

Now it is six days after you asked a question to me. Since you used the window at the bottom of the page, your question/reply would have gone to the person who created the post or asked the original question (swamyonline) and not to me. If your question is to come to my attention, you must click the yellow "Reply to this" button at the bottom of any of my replies to open a new compose reply window & use it. Take care in future questions/replies.

LWM is to be taken only twice a day at about 12 hours gap because our body extracts/prepares medicine from it, to repair diabetes. That is why I used to take lunch as usual & tell others to do so.

Milk contains glucose. So if you continue to take milk, most probably a time will come when blood sugar will be out of range but will neither increase nor decrease.

Hi zakir375,

In Hyderabad the sellers call it 'Kapli Gehun'. Jau is different and it is not Long Wheat. You simply ask for Kapli Gehun. The easiest way to identify Long Wheat is: It will have piercing ends where as the normal Wheat will be with rounded ends.

We are planning to visit Hyderabad this week for Purchasing of Long Wheat from Shree Bhagawathi Traders. Can you Guide us detailed Land mark to reach them either from Main Railway Station or From Bus Station so that Taxi/Auto mens will not take us for a ride in locating Shree Bhagawathi Traders. Hi bchandrakanth,

From Nampally railway station it is very nearer compared to Secunderabad railway station. Sree Bhagavathi Traders (Sri Lakshmi Kirana Stores) is located in Mahabooba Gunj Market, in Afzal Gunj near Osmania General Hospital. If you are coming from Mojam Jahi market towards Afzal Gunj, there falls a Mosque (middle of the road and near to Afzal Gunj). After crossing that mosque, take the very first left lane. All the kirana shops sell Long Wheat in that lane. The market name is Mahabooba Gunj and it is near to Afzal Gunj. Hope this helps you.

Regads.
