Colonoscopy

Hi back again I had a colonoscopy a week and half ago. All blood stop , first thing when I get up i am passed runny mucus then some hard bit of poo, with mucus , then pass normally about three times, but all Day I have a lot of wind passing it all day and night , then when evening come I am just passing mucus with the wind . Has anyone been through this , I would be grateful if someone good say why this is happening. Many thanks , Lynda .

That mixture seems about right from my memory, I know there was a fair bit of mucus after my last 2 colonoscopies, also wind, but as they often put some air in, that is not surprising. I just presumed everything was trying to settle down. What I cannot remember is how long it lasted, as I was put on Prednisolone soon after, this will have affected the changes at some point. Not too helpful I am afraid, I just try to forget them🤔

Thankyou for replying I am also on Prednisolone and Pentasa 2g to time a day. I just hoping it all settled down I seam to be going in flare’s a lot over the last year.

Hi. I just read your post and hope you dont mind me messaging you. I also have suffered for 2 half years now with passing mucus alone and with poo. Lots of terrible gas with mucus discharge. Ive had a clear colonoscopy and a ct with contrast. Still no idea why this us happening to me. Did you ever find out. Thanks. Malcolm
