Since being 20 weeks pregnant (14 months ago) I have suffered from bleeding and mucus in my stool. (I should add that I was severely constipated throughout my whole pregnancy). This is now at the point where I am passing blood clots and mucus every time I pass a stool and I feel constantly bloated with a tender stomach.
I went to the doctor and my calprotectin level is 3000. After having my baby I went and had a colonoscopy and gastroscopy done as well as biopsies. Everything came back clear!!
I also have severe bloating and I'm not sure what this could be! Even the specialist is not sure what it could be! I am really starting to freak out! Has anyone had this happen to them? Maybe worth getting a second opinion?
Any advice/help is very much appreciated as I am now starting to stress!

Yes, by all means get a 2nd opinion, in a situation like this don't rely on one drs opinion. from what you are saying is the good news is you don't have crohns or UC, what a relief. Keep pushing for answers.
Sorry to hear this has happened to you. Definitely get a second opinion (or a third or a forth) keep going until you get the answers you need. I am based in Australia but if you state roughly where you are you might get a good specialist recommendation?
I'm based in Vic. If you ever come down this way i'd recommend either Dr Suresh Sivanesan (he has a very scientific approach and a very good guy) or Dr William Connell (very very experienced and a fantastic bloke). Don't stop until you get the answers you need so you can get on the track to recovery!
