Has anyone had a clear colonoscopy, in which the bowel looked normal, after taking Budesonide and Methotrexate? I have Chron's and was in hospital for five days over Christmas with a really bad flare. Does this mean that the Chron's has gone or is just remission? I was told at the time to keep taking the meds because they are working. Has anyone else experienced this? It's a bit confusing. Thank you in advance for any replies.

Clear Colonoscopy
You re in remission, stay on your medication it's doing the job it's supposed to be doing. There is no cure for crohns. This is awesome news for anyone with crohns.
Be very grateful that you have no visible inflammation. Many never get in remission with IBD but do please continue with meds as stopping them will not be the right thing to do!
Thank you Frasina. I am wary continuing the steroids, although it is a low dose, because I have osteopenia but if it means that I won't keep having incredibly embarrassing episodes with no notice at all, and no time to get to a toilet, then I'm guessing continuing on the steroid is the best option for me. I have the Methotrexate for my long standing Rheumatoid Arthritis anyway. I wish that every one could be as fortunate as I am. May God Bless you and all others who suffer this horrible disease. ❤️
Your IBD team or whoever you are under will give you what they think will help; there are people who take steroids for longer than suggested time frames and if that helps you have a better quality of life then it is what you need to stick with. Hope all continues being well for the future.
This means your meds are working and your in remission.
