Week8 Run1 DONE! :-D

OH MY GOODNESS! Who knew three tiny minutes could almost do me it. I felt a wee bit queasy towards the end of the run, but I sucked it up and carried on. I really think I was doing little more than slow speed walking at some points. I wasn't about to give in but boy was I glad to get home hahaha. I thin my banana power just about got me through that one! Hopefully I can do the same for the next run.Fingers crossed. :-)

Well done! I like the idea of banana power... but perhaps it was that which caused the queasiness? I know all too well what it feels like to do "slow speed walking" on these longer runs. But we're out there... building on past weeks. :-)

Good luck with the next one... and it's great to hear you so determined again.

Thanks. I always have a banana before I go, however I maybe didn't leave enough time between having it and running. :-)

I am amazed at how far I have come. :-)

Great news, great determination! Go you :D I'm a week behind you and was wondering about the next sneaky 2 and 3 minute increases...Will do some extra psyching myself up for them and try not to get caught out ;) thanks for the warning, lots of luck for the last few. Cheers Linda x

Check out my first blogs for week7 I had to repeat that week because I just couldn't do it. I decided to take the pressure off and not worry if I did 25 minutes so long as I did 20 and anything over that was a bonus, and that worked for me.

Good luck. :-)

Hi caz

Well done on the run. I'm starting W8 next week so reading your posts with interest!

So close to graduation now - who'd have thought?! :-)

I won't lie and say it was easy because it wasn't hahaha. But yes I can almost see my graduation badge from here. :-) You know when I look back at week1 run1 running for 28/30 minutes non stop just seemed like an impossibility, but here I am doing it. And I think there must be something wrong with me, because at some point in the run it does actually feel like torture, but I love it. Hahaha

Best of luck with your runs :-)

Hey..well done you, just done mine today and you would think that the extra three minutes would not be a challenge.........oh how wrong.

Positive thoughts all round :-)

LOL!! Now i'm nervous! I did week 7 run 3 on sunday so about to start week 8 today...and its raining! I actually sprinted the end of the last run so hoping that means I'll have some left for the extra 3mins! In anticipation I have a new route which is a long slow uphill but then goes back on itself so the last 8 mins is a long downhill. This really helped on Sunday so hoping I can do it! Well done and eeeeek for nearly at graduation!! Can't believe it can you?!

Thanks. :-) I hope your run goes/went well. Lucky to have the downhill bit on the last leg of your run. I was lucky to have a little downward slope or I don't think I would have made it haha. Its getting terribly exciting I must admit. :-)

Best of luck for week 8

Yes, but those three minutes come on top of a lot of effort that you've already put in! Well done - keep it up, you're so nearly there! Looking forward to your graduation party :)

Well done for continuing. I also had W8R1 today and I had the same feeling that some of it was very slow. Getting to the end was wonderful.....I hope the 2nd run goes better. Good luck and I will see you at the finish line for the sexy green badge...lol :-D

Well done!!! I did w8r1 today and like you, thought I was going to puke at the end!! My knees were grumbling, my nose was running and I was probably dribbling too... But I didn't care, I made it!!

Don't know about you but that was the hardest yet?

Hahaha sounds a bit like me.

It was pretty bloody hard I must admit. But we did it and we will continue to do it. :-)
