.....I will have completed my very first HM (do you like the positive vibe?). This is the 3rd time I’ve typed a blog as have lost the other 2...so this may be shorter than I originally planned.
Since last week I’ve done 5.25miles with running club and Parkrun (a very rubbish time!) so as you can see I’m taking my tapering very seriously...this is the easiest part of my HM plan lol. I’m hoping by taking it easy this week (only going to do run club on Tuesday) my legs will be fresh and I can get near to my target time. However, as long as I get round in one piece I’ll be happy!!!! Thinking about it too much makes me nervous but by repeating I CAN DO IT, I CAN DO IT helps calm me. ...hopefully I’m not doing this out loud or will get very strange looks on my commute from Kent to London every day!!!
There are quite a few people from my running club doing Paddock Wood HM & I’m travelling down with some of them...having people in the car will help take my mind of my nerves. They have been told to bring warm clothes as they may have a bit of wait until I finish. Everyone is very encouraging so whilst nervous I’m also starting to get a little excited.
I will report back next Sunday

Positive vibes, positive vibes! You can do it, you can do it! I'm sure if all here keep sending you these vibes too that will help you Ali! Excited and scary but you have the support of not just us but those from your club too so you will rock it!
You CAN do it, you know you can. You're a star already so just knock their socks off. Will be thinking of you next Sunday (it's a bit far to come and cheer in person). Go girl Go.
You can do it - you've worked hard for it. Just stay calm and steady and reap the rewards for all your hard work. Sending you all the good vibes I didn't need for myself today
