I had a 3 month break and found week 5 too easy. What was your fitness like before you started (mine was zero)? If you can do week 5 then all well and good; if not then try week 4. I'm pretty sure you won't have to go all the way back to week one, but it's really a matter of experimentation.

I had to have a 3 month break due to injury so when I did start again it was with great caution.

I went back to week 3 but skipped one run of week 3 & 4 then after that did every run again. Listen to your body and don't over do things it could cause injury, better to be safe than sorry and in pain. Good luck and welcome back.

I had a 6 month break too, adn re-started on January 1st!

I did go right back to week one, but found it laughably easy and ended up joining the runs together in pairs. The next time I went out I went into week 4, and did that, then went back to week 5.

In my opinion, it was better to err on the side of caution - I really didn't want to try too hard a week and fail. As soon as you've been out once, you'll find out where you are. The good news is that the programme is MUCH easier second time around, even once you get back up to the longer runs.

Well done on getting back out there, and enjoy rediscovering the great feeling att he end fo a run!! :-)
