Returning to running after a 4 year gap I thought Id take it easy as I'm no spring chicken (61). Its taken me about 6 months to get to wk 6 run 3. I've repeated each week until I was confident enough to move to the following week.

I've found the longer runs easier as I'm able to pace myself. So I'm looking forward to reaching wk 9 hopefully before the end of January!

Hello! I am in a similar position, completed W6R3 today and I first started in June 17, then restarted later in the year. Also taking it slowly but aiming to graduate this month. We can do it! Good luck!

Great! Slow and steady :) That's amazing! Enjoy your January runs!

I'm back to starting point after IC. Even though I'm younger, it's still a huge challenge for me.

Go you!

Painful! To be honest if I stayed on week 1 forever it wouldn't be too bad at least I'm out and about. Good luck and I hope you make good progress.

The longer runs are wonderful..just relaxing into them and letting the legs find their happy pace... Well done you!

PS

You are a 'Springer' chicken than me :)

Thanks for the positive comments. Its nice to know that others feel the same, or have experienced similar.

Did wk7 r1 today despite being first day back at work after Christmas, so a bit of a shock to the system.

What i liked about this run was that Laura doesn't tell how long you've been running for you every five minutes, and the music is better!

I'll do one more with the headphones then the last one without, listen to nature!

Not what you're looking for?
