I don't believe it...

So Week2 run3 went AMAZING on Wednesay...I'm down to a size 12 (I think) so to be sure it wasn't a fluke with the one pair of jeans and one top I bought recently I decided to do a bit of test shopping...couldn't afford to buy anything but at least it would give me a confidence boost.

I tried on a dress stood on my tippie toes, twisted, to get a side on view and oooouuuccchh and shooting pain across the top of my foot where I tore ligaments at the end of the summer.

:(

The pain eased up pretty quickly and I forogt all about it until I was lying in bed that night and realised my foot was stiff. When I looked at it the next morning it was very slightly swollen also but I had agreed to go on hike with my friend. We made it down to the mountains but made the wise decision to follow the river trail rather than a mountain one so it was mostly flat and I didn't feel any pain until I turned a sharp corner and again ooouuuuccch. And then with every step for the next half mile or so.

I am absolutely gutted!

To make matters worse it has been so fine today I forgot all about and didn't even think of bringing a pair of flat shoes to work with me so I have been in heels for the past 9 hours (just finishing my shift thankfully) but in a lot of pain now.

I know I should take a rest, but I really don't want to...I think it's back to my DVDs!

So sorry to hear that. Just not fair. :(

Congrats on dropping a dress size! I'm struggling too after tearing multiple ligaments in my foot playing netball last July. It has been so good the last few weeks but as I'm increasing the amount of exercise I do (dramatically) I'm starting to get twinges too. Going out today and going to play it by ear. I'm only on w2 of this program but doing a lot of other exercise! Good luck. I'm hoping mine will hold up. Really don't want to take more time out :-(

It's so nice when you go down a size but the no money thing is always crappy when your current wardrobe is pretty much falling off you! Congrats though :)

I damaged multiple ligaments in my foot and calf last year and it's been a long road to recovery, I also worry about it affecting my running but will give in and give it a rest if it aches. Do you use any deep heat/freeze or ibruprofen gel? Even for normal day to day activities I find the deep freeze especially useful.

It hasn't hurt since December more or less, but I had been using ibuprofen gel and pain killers before. Because the pain hasn't been constant, apart from work yesterday when I was under-prepared I've avoided taking anything.

Tomorrow I've agreed to go on another hike (really unlike me) so as today has been mostly ok in flats if I feel ok in the morning I will give it a go but hold off on running.
