London Marathon 2024: Bringing the Medal Home!

Hi everyone,

It has been a while since I posted on here but I thought I would share this wonderful update.

At the weekend, I completed the London marathon!!!! It was absolutely incredible. I'm still elated now from the experience.

I ran the marathon in support of a type 1 diabetes charity, prompted by my brothers diagnosis last year and the loss of my Grandad some time ago with it. As a collective group of runners for the charity, we managed to raise £375,000 (and still rising)! This is an awesome achievement. 👌

I started running with the C25K app only 3 years ago, then I progressed to 10k with this forum. Last year I completed my first half marathon event and I'm so pleased I can now say I've ran a marathon.... and one of the world majors at that!

I hope you all take inspiration from this.. anybody thinking about entering the ballot, in the words of Nike..... 'just do it'!!! 😁

Can I please have my marathon badge now??? 😅
