This running thing is never straightforward is it?

I started C25K in April, became ill after a few weeks, managed to pick it back up at about week 3 and graduated in July. Became ill again in September, lost fitness and lost motivation so did the whole thing again and re-graduated in January.

So here we are at the end of January. What with missing regular runs due to Xmas, New Year, snow, ice etc I was feeling good about regaining the ability to run 30 minutes and now I have a cold. A 'below the neck, chesty' cold. So I am going to be out for at least a fortnight.

I know lots of folk get injured. I read plenty on here about knee problems, achilles pain, plantar fasci - wotsit, coughs, colds and migraines and worse. So I'm not really complaining - just a little frustrated! :D

Ah yes but! You have graduated twice, you have great determination, I think a fortnight will go by and then you will be back out there kicking wotnot's and stuff.

All the best Mate.

exactly what I thought Dale, what grit, what determination!

It's frustrating Christian1, but you'll be back out there in no time. Go map some new routes on goodrunguide or mapmyrun for when you are better, that's what I did with my 10 days off last year (and I spent quite a lot on sportsdirect.com, but I DON'T recommend that!)

Hope you are feeling better soon xx

I know what you mean - it's very frustrating. I've been out for nearly three weeks with the snow and then bronchitis. Never mind, you have done this before and your determination is great. You'll be out there again :)
