After dragging myself through week one I'm now feeling good and actually really keen to do week 2 run 2 tonight.
Week 2 run 1 was quite hard, but I felt great after it. So feeling upbeat this week.
My daughter who's doing this with me has had a bug. Which is a real pity as I want to do this with her. My wife's graduating today, so that's been a real encouragement. Really enjoying the programme and getting v enthusiastic after the initial pain.

I spoke to my daughter after posting and she's very disappointed that she's not running! This is wonderful news as only 3 runs ago she was grudging, reluctant and grumpy about it. It just goes to show how accessible the programme makes running. Building up in easy steps even the most reluctant teenager can go running with dad. Even if he does wear embarrassing running gear!
Well we all over indulged a bit at christmas so a collective new years 'revolution' led by Mum was in order. It seems to be good for us as a family too....more chilled I think. Running certainly has a de-stressing effect on me.
You have cracked the mystery....my family all eat sprouts! So if you and Ed can get your family into miniature cabbages from Brussels then i'm sure they will run with you : )
Enjoy your run....have the sprouts afterwards though
No, no, no. That doesn't work. My two girls both love sprouts, but won't run with me. And their dad considers sprouts to be the work of the devil, but he's by far the sportiest in the family (though not running at the moment).
GREAT GOING! So happy to see you here in the Community! We (hubby and I) worked the program together and it is a great experience! Makes me wonder what we talked about before this running lark! Our daughter (14 yrs) joined in last night and had her first run. I guess the family that runs and sweats together, stays together! Congratulations on staying committed and doing it! Gayle
