Dog and I have just finished week 2’s 3 runs 😁 Went way too fast on the first run on Monday and had throbbing aching knees for few days afterwards, so run 2 was done on Friday - very slowly and thankfully no throbbing knees, and dog and I have just done 3rd run this lovely sunny Sunday morning at a slow to moderate pace. Didn’t think I could continue the way my knees aches after first run but I’ve learned my lesson now!
Dog and I are looking forward to starting week 3 on tuesday👍

Thanks Annieapple, all advice greatfully received!👍
Congratulations on completing week 2! It is an amazing program and you’ve probably already noticed the health benefits. But you’re right; slow and steady is the key to success and to avoid injury. I don’t think I started to go faster until week 7 when I’d built up a bit of stamina. You’ll be fine 👍🏼 Good luck for week 3!
Just started first day of week two my legs were aching after the first week then I bought running tights don’t know if they helped but legs are ok after todays run
Hi Pete1212 - great advice re. Investing in proper running tights, got pair yesterday and did r2w3 this morning, felt like a proper runner and no aching legs afterwards! Way more comfortable than tuning in bog standard supermarket legging👍
