Been told to stop running today

I've got an abdominal hernia and need surgery on it. Went to the doctors as I've been experiencing pain between my appendix and c section scars. He's advised me to stop running and not exercise too heavily. I'm absolutely gutted as I'd made it to Week 6 Run 2 so can't wait until after the surgery and I can restart again.

Oh no :( That sucks, I remember reading your post about the pain. Do you know how long you'll have to wait for surgery? I'm having surgery done at the end of this month, I'll be 2 runs away from graduating, grr! We can sit on the injury bench together, I'll bring a thermos of tea ;)

So sorry to hear this :( I fully understand how gutted you must feel but once you are healed and better you will be back; plenty of others have returned after illness, injury, ops and even strokes so you will be fine, just take it easy. Hope all goes well and you have a speedy recovery. :)

Bad luck Auranya. Get it seen to, recover and then start over. Remember life is a marathon, not a race. All the best, Delia
