Not Running Today ☹️

I won't be running today, as I've still got that slight pain in my glute that I picked up on the last run. It's the first "injury" I've had, so I'm a bit disappointed 😒. Its only a slight niggle, but I don't want to risk making it worse. Any advice from anyone?

However, I did smile when I reviewed the Nike Run Club record of my last run. As you can see I ran a good part of the run in the river 😂.

Happy Running!

Good decision Buzzyb, always a good idea to listen to the body, it has a way of paying us back if we don’t. Patience is the key, not something I find easy but running is a good teacher 😉😃

Take it easy Buzzybeeze and recover properly, frustrating though it is......,there’s plenty of time to go running 🏃‍♂️

Well done! Have a longer break between your runs maybe. Oh and dare I say it, try bridges (or butt bridge) as they call it in the US I think. Stock exercise for weak glute muscles.

Sorry that you couldn't run today but a sensible decision not to run, judging from that map you had a really good run and swim the other day at 18.05,

Sorry to hear that news but probably for the best. It will pay dividends in the weeks to come. Hope your ‘swim’ wasn’t too taxing on top of the run 🤣🏊.

I can't really offer any advice but I do hope the glute improves soon so you can get back out there 🤞 🏃‍♂️

So you can run on water- amazing! 😁😉

Yeah I should have ran tonight but am feeling a little sore so put it off til tomorrow. As I just mentioned in another post, your body is boss, just follow it’s lead 😊

Try the You Tube ‘Pilates &Yoga with Katia’ ‘Full body stretch and flexibility routine 25 minutes’, it is fantastic for stretching out these areas.

Katja’s mix of Pilates and yoga is one of my go-to’s too. 😊👍

👏🐊🦆🏃🏻‍♀️👍What an interesting run...tee hee. Sorry to hear about your injury. You are doing just the right thing and resting the legs. If you get fidgety try some upper body work. It is not the same but all goes towards your general fitness programme. Take care. 🙋🏻‍♀️ (Just noticed...previous reply suggests similar idea. 🙃🤐)

Hey, just seen your post. Sorry to hear about your niggle. 😬You’ll be back out there before you know it, fully benefiting from your break, I’m sure. There’s some great yoga and/or Pilates stuff on YouTube which may help. Like everything you just cherry pick/adjust what works for you. You may come out of this experience with some new addictions to add to your list. 😊🏃‍♀️🐢
