Week 3 finished at flamin' last!

i finished W3 today at bloomin' last. I didn't find that particularly easy to be honest.

Even though it was 0deg my asthma didn't play, which was nice but i did struggle with dodgy knees and icy pavements. Still onwards and upwards to W4! Ed

Thanks very much. I am looking forward to going Parkrunning on Saturday and ending up red-faced, wheezy and asthmatic as i cross the finish line :-)

Sorry I meant to ask you a question and I think I may have reported the post instead?

Anyway I'm sure admin will see it for the error it was.

The question I asked was, I thought I'd only be able to do a Parkrun once this course had me capable of doing 5k? I'm just about to start Week 3.

Hi Fingalo, no worries. I dont like to run alone so i started doing Parkruns. It meant i could run with other like minded peeps. I find them hard work but you can walk when you have to. That means i enjoy doing them and keep going back :-)

Oh right. How long does it take you, approximately?

BigEd in reply toFingalo

Last week it was 35 mins, but i have done it in 31 mins. So i am well down the pack, but its not a race its just good fun. Give it a whirl!

Thanks Ed, I may well do, although at the moment I'm your opposite and prefer to run alone, to the point where I go out at 5.30 in the morning!

Hi Fingalo, thats cool, i find it hard work on my own. Also if i talk to someone while i run i tend to forget about my sore knees!

I asked because I'm thinking ahead and Parkruns seem an obvious next step. Thanks for the info and good luck with those knees.

Well done onwards to wk4 with a cheeky Parkrun to start you on your way! Fantastic, will give you a cheer as we both start our runs Saturday, we will probably be finishing at about the same time too. Good luck and happy running :-D

The Southend Parkrun which is only 5mins away so I am really lucky, I really enjoy it, but would love to break the 30 minutes. Hopefully soon!
