Week1 Run1 and feeling proud

Got out there and did my first run. I'm in NZ and it was a beautiful still afternoon in late Spring - really a perfect setting to start this new journey. The podcast was great - having music and Laura really distracted me from watching the clock and thinking 'when can I stop'. It felt achievable and I actually enjoyed it. Who'd've thunk!!

Well done that's brilliant, never doubt yourself, you can do this (if this 51 year old fatty who avoided running for 40 years can, you can!) :-)

Well done Hobbitfoot - welcome to the journey that will take you far. One day you will look back and not even remember the last time you thought 'when can i stop?'

Your are also part of the best support group I've ever come across. Through bad and good runs the lovely people on this sight are here to carry you through.

Happy running - i look forward to following your progress (just don't mention the rugy!) :-)

Yes, I don't plan to talk rugby...not at the moment! Cheers for the supportive post.

Welcome, Hobbit!! This is indeed, the beginning of a wonderful journey. It is often times filled with both ups and downs, as well as many challenges. Every run and every week is achievable. Have faith in the program and most of all, have faith in YOURSELF!! :-)

Keep us updated and Keep Running!! :-)

Thanks Steve. Hobbit's actually a good name for someone starting a challenging journey...that wasn't intentional, but totally appropriate!
