Well I'm wet through but thankfully there was no wind about for the final run of week 6 (don't mean to brag but I think I deserve to be able to write that). Thanks to those who said I could do it, I did have my doubts at various stages when my legs were burning, I did find though that when I'd finished I got my breath back really soon into the warm down which is a huge positive. I remember at one point just saying to myself "one front in front of the other, keep going" and sure enough the bad bits passed. Not sure if I'll need two rest days before I start on week 7, I'll just see how I get on. Phew I did it!!! Good luck to all those braving the elements tonight and those doing the treadmills too, go for it. x
W6R3 Laters week 6!: Well I'm wet through but... - Couch to 5K
W6R3 Laters week 6!
*obviously meant "one FOOT in front of the other"....I'm that giddy I can't type!!
Hey well done Leyther1 !!! Doesn't it feel good?, it's not easy but as you said , 'one foot in front of the other ', really pleased for you. I am starting week 7 on Saturday morning .
Thanks a lot kazzers, it feels absolutely brilliant!!! I've never stuck at something like this before, six weeks of hard work but we're doing it, its so rewarding!!!! all the best for Saturday, keep us posted!
Well done that's a great acheivement and in this horrible weather too fantastic
Well done you, glad the wind dropped for you, fantastic. It is good to think of something else at the bad bits I just concentrate on getting to the next tree then the lamp post and somehow I seem to get there. Well done no stopping you now
Glad to hear that you managed to get out without the worst of the weather.
Well done Leyther so pleased for you. Unfortunately I stopped after 22 minutes this morning on my W6R3 I think it was getting tired and mind games should have done what you did and chant one foot in front of the other. I'll try again on Sunday as your success is encouragement for me to keep going.
