My ten year old needs some hill training for X country league series that starts next week!!

Took her to a fairly local quarry for some hill and step running!

I much preferred this to Thursdays 2 mile slog. Shorter intensive power runs appear to be my stonger! point, hope not too sore tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blimey - well done to both of you. Good luck to your daughter for her x country league and hope that you don't suffer too much tomorrow and good luck with run 2.

Well done, especially if that was Kirtlington, you're a braver woman than me as I have enough problems walking down it, although upwards isn't too much of a problem. Good luck to your daughter in her x-country racing :)

Yes it was Kirtlington quarry, bit intensive but old adage of no pain no gain and all that!!

I am also in Bicester, must be the flatest piece of Oxfordshire.

Going out for run 3 tonight, should have joined C25K earlier, blogs really help to spur you on knowing that you are not alone!

First time I've commented (although I read everyone's posts for motivation) but just wanted to chip in as I'm also in Bicester and am thankful for how flat it is every time I set off! I've managed to find a route that includes a gradual incline to push myself a bit. Off for week 3, run 1 tomorrow morning!
