I’ve just completed over just 5 k today. I’ve not quite been getting there running the 30 mins. I did it in 40mins. Running up hill on way back. Don’t know if that’s any good or not. 🤨

It's very good Elbe, congratulations on completing and graduating recently and running your first 5K.

Well done you ! A lot of people say that 30 minutes and 5k aren’t equivalent for them, so don’t worry. It depends on several factors including the terrain and the length of your stride. You’re doing great ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Well done.

Your time is your time, so be proud of it.

Comparison is futile on this forum, owing to the vast range of ages, genders and physical abilities and disabilities that our membership represent.

The only thing to be careful of is increasing your duration too much.

Moving from 30 minute runs to one of 40 minutes does in fact breach the 10% rule that is used as guidance on increasing training load, as described in the guide to post C25K running healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

I would recommend that you consolidate with 30 minute runs for a couple of weeks, at least, before pushing duration too much.

Keep running, keep smiling.

Not what you're looking for?
