So tonight was the 2nd all club run for the last beginner to graduate!
We all set off from the club down into the town to the castle for a Club photo! Then back to the club. The manager had arranged for an ice cream van to arrive as we returned from our run & the celebrate the last beginner receiving her certificate!
I was determined I was going to run the whole run I knew if I stopped for to long I would loss it! We set off and I kept to a steady pace which I was comfortable with and stuck to it. I did some loop backs as I didn’t want to stop while some of the others waited for the slower runners! We took the lower entrance into the castle grounds which has a short but steep hill I to it which I ran up! We all lined up at the castle gate and down the steps for the run Photo! Then it was back up a very long hill slowly rising hill leg sapping one as it drags!
I still kept running as I am now working on my 5k consistance! Monday it was 51mins and tonight it was 48mins I am very pleased with this! Roll on Saturday park Run!

It certainly was & prawn and cucumber sandwich when I got back home to! My old girl puss was certainly happy as prawn sandwich means Prawns for her tea too 😂
ice cream was a lovely treat! Yes it is lovely seeing your runs I’m prove! I think I will keep running 5ks for next few weeks to build my consistency up! Then pending shoulder next steps I will start building to 10k as I have a 10k in October!
At this point I am focusing on managing on consistent 5 k before switching it up to 5k to 10K as I have 10k booked in October!
However everything is is depending on the next steps on my shoulder as it looks like they are going to operate on it but when and what I don’t have a clue 😞 Thanks for your support !
Maybe..just popping in a shorter and a longer relaxed run..may be helpful...especially towards that 10K...just running steadily and for a longer but less concentrated time.It is that type of relaxed longer slower run which can really help, build up the strength and stamina needed for the second 5K of your 10K..
Hopefully you may get some idea of your shoulder op soon..x
