Well i've not run since 27th Sept because of more injury ...sacroilitits, and a nightmare of a house rewire living in a tip but monday night i went for a 20 minute run ...no problem last night I did a run of two ten minutes bursts with five minutes power walking in between ( plus the 5 mins warm up and cool down) so tomorrow night i will atempt a twenty five minute run -- i need to download Laura as she's been wiped from my ipod! so peps if you have to give up running just get back to it with no excuses! When i stopped i was on week seven but went back to week 5 with no loss of condition one pleased redfacewoman
I'm back ......again!: Well i've not run since... - Couch to 5K
I'm back ......again!
Good for you, i too had time off and returned to week 5, I am now back to running 30 minutes, so you are right no excuses and after all we had done all the hard work getting fit in the first place. Keep going and enjoy your running,
Fantastic - well done - for getting back into it with such gusto - Once you start, despite what obstacles life throws up, with a little application and effort, you can keep going. Redfaced is good - it means that you've put in the work!
I'm at week 7 and haven't run for four days now due to a combination of a heavy cold and a slight calf muscle strain which I have been carrying since W5R3. I'm going to try to get out tomorrow but was wondering how long it takes to start to lose condition.
Great post, welcome back
well if you think that I haven't run at all for 29 days with no ill affect i'm dead impressed i did toy with the idea of going straight back to where i left off ... W7R3 but thought i should go back to W5R2 but to be honest i could have gone straight back last night i did W6R1 and it was so easy i went at faster and increased the gradient so who knows! Good luck what ever you do listen to your body
