I've done it. Woooooo! Week 9 run 3 in the bag. And just because I had to say I've literally done couch to 5k I carried on running after the 30 mins and got to 5 whole kilometres in 37 mins. Not a personal best on speed but I have something to work on going forward which will hopefully keep me motivated Go me, haha
It was a strange run, slowest first mile for a while and really felt I couldn't do it early on but 15 mins in I felt great again and although it wasn't easy I felt I could have done a bit more distance in the end.
I can't believe how much this programme has changed me. At 29 I'm probably the fittest I've ever been. I haven't lost the weight that I would have liked but hoping that will happen in time. Running on a mon, wed and fri each week has kept me same through a very stressful period at work and touch wood I am picking up less colds etc...(hoping that's not the kiss of death!!!)
All of you who are just starting out keep it up! You can do it. Goodness knows if I can do it you can as well. It feels as though this programme has worked a miracle for me! No exaggeration.
Now just to stay motivated and build on what I've achieved, and thank goodness I can do my own playlist from now on - though I will miss Laura terribly.
Best wishes all. Now to get my graduate badge
