My hip hurts and is getting worse, it doesnt hurt when i run or walk, but post run, its def not right, so ibuprofen and rest. Think i will wait till Sat till my next run and see how it is then.

I had the same all last week Itsallanadventure. I rested from Wednesday - Sunday and just did some gentle walking and swimming. Took strong anti-inflamatory tablets which didn't really hit the spot, then tried Ibuprofen and they seemed to work better!! Had my first run on Monday and although I ran just short of 5K I didn't push for a fast time. I was fine and today have had a good exercise day for a rest day. Sorted I think, so what you are doing is the same as I did so will keep my fingers crossed that it works for you too.

I will see how it feels at the weekend, and try a short slow run, if there is no improvement i will have to investigate further.

I am really hoping it will be better. :)

Do rest it - I ignored my hip niggles and ended up seeing a physiotherapist for advice. It has improved but has been going on for weeks now. I think I'm learning a lesson about listening to my body......I ran tonight and hip felt fine but last week it was two days later that I started hobbling so need to wait and see......

Its strange how hip pain appears, I was like you, ran and my hip was just fine but the next day was hobbling!! It lasted almost the whole week too. Rest and anti-inflamatory worked for me, I guess I was lucky.
