I really have amazed myself in the last couple of days. So far so good, no aches and pains and really enjoyed the change back to shorter runs and walks despite the freezing winds. Even got a second burst of energy on the last 5 min run and upped the pace and feel great. Roll on next runs, but I will be sensible and take a rest day tomorrow I think.
This site is a great motivator, so encouraging to hear how others are getting on.

I too felt like I could have run again today after a successful W5R3 yesterday and no aches or pains but decided against it though it was tempting as its so much easier for me to run on a weekend morning than an evening afer work....
I'm glad you had a good couple of days running; now enjoy that rest day - your muscles will need it to recover!
Well done on starting week 6 so successfully. I redid W6R2 literally 30 minutes after failing my 1st attempt (I became a little sick half way through but felt better almost immediately.) That all seemed fine but after a rest day, I could tell when I did W6R3 that I was nowhere near recovered from the exertions and I think that's the main reason I've had a bit of a rough week - I just didn't give myself enough recovery time. Definitely take that rest day now. Your muscles really do need it, whether you can feel anything or not. .
You are very brave deviating from "the plan". I am glad that your runs feel so good. I have been tempted to run 2 days in a row but have stopped myself.
My advice would be to pace yourself for the final weeks - you don't want to get injured and have to stop!
Welcome to Week 6, chusan51!! I have to second the comments so far. Enjoy the great run days, but also enjoy the rest days!! Our bodies have a lot of recovering do to between these runs! I think that canuckgirl is right on the mark with her advice!! The last thing anyone wants is to get well into the program and then have an injury slow us down!! You are doing great, Keep Running!!
Thanks for all the advice and yes, I've listened and will get back to the plan. Miserable soggy day in London today anyway so not running is an easy option.
