Still sitting trying to rest the ankle injury and getting really frustrated. I am envious of ANYone I see running outside.

Keep thinking why me?

Keep wondering how long its going to take. Still limping when I walk after about 8 days now.

I am no good at this sitting around thought, the whole idea was to get off the couch........not return to it!

Oh hope its not going to go on for ever. Otherwise I will need to go back to week 1 of the podcasts I think.

So sorry, it must be awful and so frustrating. Some say they come back stronger after an injury. Have you tried any cross training to keep your fitness up?

Have you thought about doing some chair based strength and flexibility exercises? Might still be tricky to do some of them with a very dodgy ankle, but it would all contribute to fitness.

I'm sure you won't need to go back to week one though!

My sister is going through the same thing - just ran her furthest distance (18k) and unfortunately fell :( She's been told 12 weeks rest. she did try a run after 4 weeks but was unable to walk for two days afterwards. Rest up and you'll be amazed how quickly you can get back to it in the end
