I haven't posted for a few days as I am very jealous of all those who are moving onwards and upwards. After my w9r2 I was in a lot of pain. I decided I would have to stop. My hip was very painful and I haven't run since. Even walking was painful at first. I have found some pilates exercises just for hips that I am hoping will help the running as well because I am determined to keep going as soon as I can safely do that. The exercises are from Instructor Live a website suggested by the NHS as well as me!
I am into my second week of not running and just trying walking a distance again. To all those who are still on the programme and those who have graduated, keep going it is brilliant.

So sorry about your hip pain Basil73, especially with only one more run until you graduate, that run has to be postponed makes it so flustrating, of course don't run until your hip is no longer sore, good luck.
Oh no, I absolutely feel for you. I did something similar, got to W9R2 and ouch. I was out for 3 weeks and found it so frustrating. Keep the exercises up once you're pain free and hopefully you'll make a come back. Personally, I redid a few weeks of the programme building back up to W9, which I thought to be very sensible and worked for me.
🍏 Feel so for you BUT that graduation will wait. You are doing the right thing! If things don’t improve get some advice from a physio or GP. Sending you a big HU hug. We all feel for you!
Hello! I had no idea hips were such a big role in running until doing this program. It was funny too, because hips were the only thing that was sore. One thing my massage therapist suggested was using a foam roller to help work out those tight hip muscles (I just searched foam roller hips). Also, another friend suggested really watching form while running and core strength exercises to ensure my core is strong, so my hips were not taking the blunt of the impact vs my core. Good luck!
Thank you for that info. My problems are also to do with tablets I take and I am just hoping that I can finish these soon and move on. Good luck to you on your running.
