Well, I've just started doing this. Am very overweight, but have recently lost 2.5 stone with weight watchers. Loss is starting to slow down so I thought I ought to start thinking about exercise. I've done 2 sessions so far, and my 3rd week one session will be tomorrow morning.
The first one I did was in the middle of the afternoon and heat wise that was a mistake! So for the second one I got up early (not good in the holidays) and went at 7am - much better! I did find the second session easier but I don't know how much of that was due to the heat.
I track everything using the endomondo app on my phone

Well done starting C25K. And well done on the weight loss. I too have lost weight 3st 12lb in total, and have maintained it for a year - more or less! (Using TescoDiets - online). You may find that you don't lose any weight for the first couple of week, while your body is adjusting to the new exercise routine, but hang in there. My weight stayed the same for the first 3 weeks but then in week four the scales showed a 2lb loss.
I'm now on week 5 of C25K and can't believe how far I've come.
Welcome! Congratulations on your weight loss, you have done great! C25K isn't easy but it's so rewarding, there are lots of lovely people on here to share the ups and downs with so keep posting and good luck with the programme!
Thanks for the welcome and encouragement. I lost the weight in 11 weeks and then had two weeks where nothing shifted. I started doing some walks and then lost 2lbs this week so decided that I had to get moving more. 3rd run tomorrow morning
well done - keep it up! I lost a similar amount of weight before starting this and i'm only a couple of runs ahead of you. The sense of achievement in completing each run is huge - whoever thought running could be enjoyable!
