After all your lovely comments I did my second run today. Yes it was wet and a little windy but not too bad. Although I ran through a deep puddle on my first run of the session so had wet feet for the rest of it lol. Hope it's a bit drier for my third run on Friday :)

Good for you Jack. You are brilliant to be starting this in full winter. Well done for your second run, it starts to get quite addictive. Follow Laura's advice and take it steady, remember to stretch and take on water. Look forward to hearing your progress.

Yeay! Well done... I remember wet feet well... there will be lots of wetness generally... see my post, When you're wet you're wet...:)

But.. it won't matter at all...you will do it....just keep on in there and take it slow and steady... good hot showers when you get home too. Brilliant and brave to start at this time too! :)

I am at same stage as you! wk 1 d2 today, found it harder as muscles really ached. But am determined! Good luck!

Well done, I'm on a week 1 restart, injuries came in week 2 as I had knee issues caused by high arches - who knew! Now equipped with assics and will be forever telling new runners to get their gait checked. It's free (bar cost of new trainers).

Typically once the trainers were bought I pulled a back muscle doing weekly shop. Hoping that new year will be injury free.

Now that is also settled it's back to Laura's words of wisdom & some warm socks.

Hi Nik0lai,

The correct footwear is really important as you found to your cost. My hubby had the same issue and had knee pain til he got the right shoes.

Irs ok to start again at the beginning and now there should be no stopping you... remember you can repeat weeks (stages) as often as you need to and move on at your own pace.

Good luck for your next run.

Well done! Hate getting my shoes wet and muddy but they clean up well so will soon be ready for next time! Hard to avoid squelchy leaves, mud and puddles on every run. All part of the fun though, I nearly slipped over in mud once and it made me feel like a naughty kid which did make me giggle. Keep us updated, love to look back to my C25K days through your runs. Julie 😀
