Week 4 is hard! :s

I was loving week 3, I flew through it and was looking forward to each walking interval to be over to run again, but OMG week 4 feels like a big change.

I have done run 1 and 2, albeit, like a snail, and huffing and puffing.

Can't believe there's another 4 1/2 weeks to go.

You are nearly half way through & you got this far. Laura has prepared you physically for every challenge & this community has prepared you mentally. You will be fine, stay positive & stay strong.

I agree there unless you can slow any more then just trust in Laura and yourself and you will get through.

thanks girls. I was thinking about just repeating week 3 forever now, to use as exercise, but dunno if that will defeat the purpose of the App. I'll keep going for now anyway. Thanks again :) x

Try not to look too far ahead just do what you can and remember that each run is helping your body adjust. If you think back to week 1 and how you felt and think about doing that now and how easy you would find it, it will show you how much you have improved.

Also not every run is great, I am just picking myself off the floor following having to have 4 walks in my first race for life. I was not happy but when I run tomorrow or the next day I am hoping to be back on form.

I agree to that, I am on w4r3 tonight, and gah! The first I liked, 2nd almost killed me.... so I am hoping I can struggle on through tonight! :)

I've finished W4R3 this morning and now feel epic! My feelings are similar to yours: the 1st nearly killed me, the 2nd was OK, and this mornings run was fab and I felt very comfortable throughout. You can do it! Believe in yourself and go for it! Saying that though, not getting too excited about W5 yet ! :-(

I think that all the support from the community will help you stay strong mentally. In addition it may help you to focus on something personal and meaningful that will motivate you. Perhaps there was a strong reason for you doing the program in the beginning.

Good luck!

I'm scared, supposed to be doing week 4 run 1 this morning, soooo tired though as my little un had me up for alf the night so not on top form to start with!

I have to agree emz. Week 4 is hard! Run 1 went okay, but run 2 today wasn't so good. I've had a good talk with myself and know what I need to do to get through run 3, so I'm hoping it will go better (and not be too hot!)

Week 4 is very hard for me as well. I did run 1 and 2 last week (I SHOULD be on week 5 right now but....) and decided to start it over again to give myself a few extra days on week 4. Theres no way I can move onto week 5 if I cant even do the first day of week 4 without needing to stop. ughhh. Heres attempt number 2 at week 4 today. Good luck girl, take your time. We're all in this together, its ok to pace yourself, not everyone can do this with ease, but it will get easier :)

I am in the same place, emzolita. Loved W3 then had a rubbish W3R3 and have really struggled with W4R1 and 2. Am starting to think I can't do this. I haven't had that fab feeling at all for the last 3 runs, having had it in abundance up till then. Hmmm, I just think we have to trust in Laura and the programme and this community. We will get through (and enjoy it!!!) And don't go too fast! I think Laura's right when she says go steadily and don't tire yourself out. Good luck, we'll keep going for Laura, each other, and of course, ourselves.
