My first *proper* run for some time.

I have been easing myself back into c25k after hurting my back a month ago. I wasnt sure where to start, so on the 10th July (my birthday) i started on a nice gentle week 3, it felt tough but not as tough as it could have been, a couple of days later i moved to week 4 for more of a challenge. I ran two week four runs, and jumped to week five.

This is the first run since my wednesday weigh in, showing that i lost 67 lbs in nineteen weeks :)

I was only planning on doing just run 1 of week 5, but instead i did run 2, today as i started, i was thinking, ok should i do day 1 or day 2? Lets see, anyway, instead i did run 3.

Yeah, i managed the twenty minute run. Wow, that was tough.

Ran at 1% gradient, 8kph. As I was doing it I *knew* that i could manage 10kph for at least five minutes if not ten minutes, but i resisted. I am taking it easy in case i hurt my back again (still tender)

Well done on getting back into your running. You are right ro take it steady, listen to your body and don't push too hard. You have many years (hopefully) in front of you so its important not to overdo things. I wish you all the very best, I know how much I missed my running when I had a 3 month break due to pain issues. Good luck :)
