First proper run for a while!!

Well I haven't been on here for a few weeks and thought I would Update you on my non progress but tonight I did just over a 30 minute run which I haven't done for a few months now due to an iffy knee(as many will be aware) and managed 4.25k so let's see how it is in the morning.

Still not got my proper running shoes 😞 But only due to not having any time, I am hoping to get them before the end of the month.

Poppypug recommended going to Decathlon but I needed to be a member to have free gait analysis done and when I got to the queue to join it was bigger than my time allowed so will give it another go next week as I do need them really.

Due to the lack of proper footwear I am only running once a week so roll on next Monday.

Well everyone keep up the good work couch to 5k is well worth the effort and if I can go from not being able to run for 60 seconds to run for 30 mins then I am sure anyone can with a bit of determination and commitment.

Butch

Hi Butch , good to see you on here again !

I am sorry you had a wasted journey at Decathlon :-( . I wonder if that's something new as they never asked me if I was a member or anything like that , how odd ! Did you go to the Stockport one ?

I really hope you get sorted and those knees of yours don't give you anymore trouble ! :-) xxx

Was thinking about you the other day and here you are :)

30 minutes and 4.25k is sounding really good even with reduced runs and a recovering knee!

Keep it careful and steady, great to know you're still going.

The programme is fantastic :)

Yes i will be careful agree program is great got me off the couch and being healthy - to be honest wish i had done it ages ago instead of talking myself out of it :(

And thanks for thinking about me

Sounds like you're doing fab, I'm very jealous as I'm on the IC at the moment and desperate to get back out there. X

Thanks, would say though don't get back in too fast, agree once you start and you are enjoying it (now that is one thing i didn't think i would ever say that i enjoyed running),its annoying when you are on the IC

Hi there.. good for you, that your knee seems better... pesky things they are, but of course, we 'kneed 'them. :)

I know what you mean about talking yourself out of it, but then enjoying the run once you go out! I went for my first long-ish run last night too and I'd forgotten how good I felt afterwards :o) I think I just need the framework of having to run so many times in a week.

Good for you Butch, you're "back on the horse" x
