Just about to do W6R3, and would like to start increasing pace now, but would be very interested to know how I am doing! Thanks to everyone on here - the support is invaluable.

Try FREE 1 month goodrunguide.co.uk this allows you to map your run then when you have completed it you can log a time against it. If you have a stop watch which you can log laps you can then use it on the 1K, 2K etc marker points which will give you split times.

Nice and inexpensive as a starter for you.

If however you have a smart phone, Iphone or Ipod Touch you can download free Apps with GPS tracking, there are loads out there you can try so just Google GPS Running Apps and take your pick.

The final suggestion is a Garmin GPS but cost quite a lot. Thats only 3 options I'm sure others will come up with more alternatives.

And another +1 for Endomondo. Also, if you choose to measure your heart rate you can also get a bluetooth heart rate monitor that works with it too.

Garmin 110 is my constant companion (as well as micropore but that's another story :-O )

Thank you so much everyone; have uploaded runtastic onto my Blackberry, so will give that a try on tomorrow's (gulp and sharp inhalation of breath) 25 minuter! Onwards and upwards!
