Do I run or rest?

I ran W7R3 yesterday morning but am hoping to do a Parkrun on Saturday morning. Do I run tonight so I can have Friday as rest or am I best to not run until Saturday?

I've just got my mojo back on this weeks runs and don't want to lose the momentum.

no real experience, but can't stand to see un-answered q's :) If it were me I'd go tonight, take it easy though, sure it will help your mojo grow - good running saturday too

Thank you, hopefully the mojo will be here to stay now!

Personally, I think I'd run tonight, as I don't like the idea of taking too many rest days. You can always have an extra rest day after your parkrun, if you feel the need. Good luck for Saturday. I can't wait to reach that stage. :)

Thank you - I was worried it may be too long a gap for me, just as I'm getting back into it.

A short 15 minute run tonight, rest tomorrow and enjoy the parkrun! :)

I still need to pluck up the courage to go & do it but fingers crossed I will just wake up and Saturday and get out there. I also need to find the Parkrun - I'm the only woman my friends know who gets lost using SatNav!

do it. honestly it isn't as scary as you think! i'm always a little nervous before i go and once there wonder what that was all about!

you could always go and watch one week to see what it's like and perhaps speak to a few of the volunteers.

maybe if you post which one you are running there may be others on here doing the same one...would be nice to see a friendly face.

I did ask the other day and one of the volunteers on here goes & is hoping to be there this week. He said to message him if I go & he'll give me some moral support :)

I'm just a bit shy so need to psyche myself up - plus I'm only doing about 2 miles during the podcast so to do 3 would be a challenge (although I know I can walk if I need to - haha, get me 'if', more like 'when'!)

Message Andy and go! I didn't talk to anyone the first time I went to the Parkrun as I'm shy in those circumstances...but achieved that on the 2nd go!

It's all about the mental challenge so you were right the first time 'if' you need to!

Good luck

I would go tonight as well. The more you go when you are in the mood the more it helps at those times when you aren't I find.

Thanks Greg, I'll see if that works for me because I'm very good at talking myself out of doing things!

I'd go tonight and have a nice gentle run, then rest tomorrow. Good luck on Saturday !

Yes, I think I will! Well thats the plan, but it seems the OH is currently arranging for us to go to his mums after work - I hope I have time to squeeze it in :)

Didn't go well!!

Didn't get on the treadmill until 7pm (which is a late run for me esp as I like to go when I get up)

Did the 5 min warm up walk 10 mins into my run my calves just went really tight so walked for 2 mins tried to run again but the calves said NOOOOOOOO so did the warm down walk and plenty of stretching. I shall rest until Saturday instead, well, apart from dog walking :)
