I did my best run yet on Saturday morning, first full 30 mins of running without stopping, however, I couldn't walk for the rest of sat or Sunday, the pain in my groin was unbearable πππ due to run tonight but an going to rest it a bit longer.... thanks peeps xxx

How long should I rest for?
I looked at your last post as I wasn't sure where you were up to with the couch to 5k plan and I see you mentioned groin problems last time. Did you consult anyone about that? I've tackled various aches and pains by looking up lots of warm up exercises to do before running and also making sure I do plenty of stretching afterwards and there are stretches for everything! It may be worth investing some time in looking this up if you're not already doing it. Rest for as long as you need to, see how you feel. You can take quite a while off without it affecting your overall running. If I feel achy I sometimes run anyway as it eases once I'm going but if I was in complete pain like you seem to be I'd take it more seriously and not risk running at all until recovered. Good luck!

The last groin pain was my right side, which has always been a bit dodgy and clicky since having my second daughter (she's now 11 and a half) but this time was my left side!
I didn't see anyone last time, just rested, maybe I need to look for groin stretches if they exsist?!
Oh dear, that shouldn't be happening. You definitely should take a rest from running whilst the groin-strain clears up. I assume that this is connected to the pain that you posted about 2 weeks ago???
Realistically you should get along to a GP or a sports physio for advice. It maybe that you've torn something (especially if you could not walk on Saturday or Sunday after the run on Saturday morning). And I'd suggest that you do not run again until you have received the go-ahead from a professional following a consultation.
Your posts show quite an extreme range of reactions to your running... "smashed it", "best run yet", "I've hurt myself". We do want you to feel motivated by your running, but also we don't want you getting hurt. Once you have the go-ahead to run again, I'd suggest a very gentle easing back into running without any time/speed/distance/pace objectives.

I think the reason why you felt so sore after your (I assume) run 1 of week 9 was that you ran too fast and were not hydrated enough, you have already ran 4/25 minute runs and 3/28 minute runs on week's 7 and 8, I wonder what the difference of two minutes for the first run of week 9 made. Don't run, run 2 of week 9 until you have fully recovered from the soreness in your groin, hopefully it won't be too long before that pain goes, just rest and the day before you run the second run of week 9 drink plenty of water, stretch, do the run a little slower than the first one, good luck.
Have you been checked out as you had this a while ago? if not, then go and see either your GP or a sports physio...it is worth finding out what is causing this
I sometimes have two rest days in between runs and stretch...stretch...stretch before and after. I also do a bit of Yoga with Adriene on You Tube on rest days which has helped with lower back. Lots of water too...hope it gets better soon but if persists maybe worth a trip to the doctor πββοΈ
