Took me 12 wks not 9, theres been blood sweat and tears but i flamin did it. 12 wks ago i cried my eyes out with embarassment and frustration i'd really struggled wk 1 run 1 and my family laughed at me even trying to run. Tonight they aren't laughing and i can hardly see the screen to type through the happy tears!!
To anyone just starting or struggling stick with it, it really does work, you will struggle, you will ache, if your like me you will swear and want to pack it in but if this totally unfit fat bird can do it anyone can xx

Tears in my eyes reading this!!!!!! (think I'm premenstral) I'm another unfit fat bird.... Just done week2 run3 and really struggling, but haven't up until today. Nt sure whether to repeat the run or continue to week 3...... Your post has given me some inspiration! Xx
Thanks and good luck to all working their way through. wasn't intending to do it until the morning but was so impatient and excited couldn't wait. Lol the very idea that i couldn't wait to run is unbelievable
thanx and i really intend to stick at it, i love it. Had a stressfull family situation a few weeks ago and instead of reaching for a beer and a cig i went for a run!!
Congratulations and well done, it really does not matter how long it takes to complete the program, i took longer than the 9 weeks, but we did it Have you requested your badge yet? thats the best bit actually seeing it against your name
That's a fabulous story that you shared. Congratulations, and keep putting your foot to the ground (or treadmill). You will only get better, and you will be a great inspiration to your family.
What a fantastic story and congratulations! I've just come back from a very rubbish run w5r2 and worrying about the dreaded w5r3. Your blog has jut given me the determination to carry on and not give up.
Ok....so you have my tearing up just reading this! I am soooo happy for you!!! I too am of of the larger persuasion and I have struggled. I am on Week 7 Run 2, but it's taken me about 13 weesk to get here. I have had runner's knee a couple of times, stomach virusues that were unbelievable, and even sinus infections. But your post is total motivation!!! Good for you and don't stop now!!! Let us know when you run your first 5K!!! *standing ovation*
Oh jinnie, well done. You have every reason to be proud. Thanks for your motivating post, for other 'fat birds' out here like me who are just getting started (week 2 for me).
Congratulations on graduating!!! I've just done week 6 run 1 and thought it would be a stroll in the park..... Wrong!!! I found it quite difficult and thought I'd look on here to see how other people felt. Then I found your blog and it's wonderful. Keep up the good work and I'll keep putting one foot in front of the other until I can finally say "I did it too!"
well done jinnie i am proud of you. I had a tear as i read your inspirational blog. This will really help me (as a larger lady) to keep going no matter what.
