As much as I was looking forward to running again after the weekend break, I was dreading the extra 30 seconds added this week as I didn't think I'd be able to do it. I managed to run all the 1 minute intervals last week, but they felt like my limit.
However, I found that yesterday when lara said it was time to slow down, I still felt that I could run! (Say what?) My breathing also seemed to calm down a lot quicker than last week and I was ready to run before laura told me it was time to.....oooooh such progress already!
It's a real boost when you realise your body is stronger and more capable than the week before
& It also helped that the weather was lovely and I could get my legs out...wahey

I'm in the same place and found the first week 2 run pretty good as well - I mucked up my timings (I don't use the podcasts) and ran for an extra 50 seconds and was still feeling pretty strong (amazing!)
Hi Rosey21 I am doing exactly the same runs as you and I too found w2r1 on Monday easier than week 1.
Having said that my 2nd week 2 run which I did about 10 this morning, I found harder than Monday because it was so much warmer. I know I shouldn't say this after the rubbish weather we've had so far but I really hope the weather cools down otherwise I can't see me running for longer than 90 seconds :(.
You're right Muffintop - I find it harder to run in the heat too! Just make sure you're hydrated, keep a steady pace and wear a hat Works for me!
Keep it up!
It's funny, I'm on week 4 and I have found the first run of each new week is easier than the next two, so I get to the 3rd run of a cycle feeling really down and like I will never be able to make the next workout, only to find it's OK after all! Could just be the euphoria of managing it when you don't think you will!
That's what I found with going from week 1 to week 2 This week has been easier compared to the last but I'm guessing my body was shocked that I was exercising and refusing to go with it! lol
I've just completed run 1 week 2 too but oh dear I found it REALLY hard going
I just couldn't manage the 90 seconds and had to miss out one run completely. Feeling really demotivated now. I suppose the remarkable hot weather could have something to do with my lack of energy.
i read somewhere on here that bad runs are going to happen and not to analyse them too much i felt this was good advice and to just accept this and move on.
@Skandia - Thank you and an impressive achievement from you also for getting to week 2 Like soon2bfit said just accept you didn't have the greatest of runs and move on up! Just remember to pace yourself, that's what helps me - I have to keep telling myself this isn't a race lol
