Hi everyone . Started week 3 today and did the run . Felt great . When the run was finished I checked the distance on my running app and it was less than a run on week 2 . Does anyone know why , or am I being stupid ????
Week 3 less distance than week 2: Hi everyone... - Couch to 5K
Week 3 less distance than week 2
This can happen, the key is the plan is getting you used to running for certain blocks of time, try not to worry about the distance that you're covering ππ»
Thanks π
As the runs get longer you might be slowing down a bit, but that's good . Slow running will get you to the end of each run . Don't bother about distance just concentrate on completing the run good luck ππ
Hi thanks . That makes sense as Iβve slowed down help breathing π
Week 3 is the shortest in time of all the 9 weeks. So it is entirely expected that you will cover a shorter distance.
There are a number of posts on this forum covering the topic.
Thanks Iβll scroll down and take a look. Glad I asked now π

Thanks , thatβs really helpful ππ
Week 3 is the same number of minutes walking as week 2 but with less walking. Even if your speed doesn't change the total distance will be less due to the shorter distance covered in the walking breaks. Also remember the objective at present is to run further - not to run faster. Don't try to improve both speed and distance at once. Learn to run the distance first.
Thanks it makes sense now π
