Having done an extra Wk4 run as I didn't feel as comfortable moving on as usual, I wasn't especially looking forward to Wk 5. I completed Wk5 R1 yesterday and was actually easy! Not just that but having done the programme before (unfortunately it didn't stick after the 9 weeks) I know what's coming this week - eek - so when Laura said you can slow down on the last run I kept going for a bit just to see if I could. When I looked at my watch I'd gone an extra two minutes and could've done more if I'd wanted! Looking forward to seeing how I get on with R2 tomorrow and then the big step up at the weekend.
Easier Than Expected...: Having done an extra Wk... - Couch to 5K

Hi - Ho Silver !
Well done that Man ! Fab stuff, keep going and keep posting !
Good Luck to you xxx
Well done! And good on you for coming back to the program! I'm sure you will be fine. As you will already know run 3 is mostly a mental challenge so good luck and let us know how you get on
Sounds like success is just around the corner! Well done you!
well done as you already know what is coming you are better prepared it is definitely worth sticking with this after graduation
Thanks slow_rob! Yes, I certainly think so. And definitely, I have a very good parkrun just down the road I'm planning on heading down to after graduation and if all goes well I may end up running a 10k in the summer. There's a flat one not too far from me in mid July so gives me plenty of time to train for it.
Sounds a great idea silver I try to do parkrun every week , find it is a great atmosphere and running with a lot fo peopel instead of alone makes life more interesting I am training upto 10k aswell and looking at doing 1 or 2 locally in the summer , good running silver
